Janet Eileen Dickinson, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born February 12, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Raul Frye and Ruth Worley. She was also very close to her stepmother, Clara McVey.
In 1962, Janet met Kelvin Dickinson at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan and they later married in 1966. Together they lived in Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina and Michigan before finally settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1979. She loved drawing and painting and later did needlework. Janet Eileen Dickinson, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born February 12, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Raul Frye and Ruth Worley. She was also very close to her stepmother, Clara McVey.
In 1962, Janet met Kelvin Dickinson at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan and they later married in 1966. Together they lived in Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina and Michigan before finally settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1979. She loved drawing and painting and later did needlework. In later years, she and her husband enjoyed travelling in Europe, the Middle East and United States.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Kelvin Sr.; sons Kelvin Jr. (Francis) Dickinson of New York, NY and Geoffrey (Paige) Dickinson of Uxbridge, MA; grandchildren Tobias and Comfort; Brother-in-law Blaise Dickinson; nephews Chris, Tim, Kevin and Peter Duffy with their families; and numerous other loving relatives and close friends.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Janet touched are invited to the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 to reminisce, grieve and support each other. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
